About our Speakers Panel:

Ana Nicod - Head of Climate Change Strategy at ECOM Agroindustrial: As Head of Climate Change Strategy at ECOM Agroindustrial Corp. Ltd., Ana is responsible for designing and implementing the strategy for ECOM to achieve its goals of Net Zero by 2050. Ana oversees the implementation of practices that reduce the carbon emissions in ECOM supply chains to meet milestone reductions in scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions in all areas of the business. With over a decade in sustainability and climate change, Ana Nicod focuses on the agricultural and food sector, leading decarbonisation efforts and carbon credit projects. With her team, she leads and oversees the implementation of projects, contributing to a brighter future for farmers and communities in the industries we trade in.

Stephen Thomas - Head of Sustainability at ArrowResources AG: Stephen began his career in international environmental consulting specialising in contaminated land remediation, environmental compliance auditing and M&A projects for diverse multinational clients from the petroleum, mining, pharmaceutical, chemical and automotive industries amongst many others. He then moved to the mining and metals industry where he has developed, implemented and directed environmental and social-related projects at both the corporate and site levels. Before joining ArrowResources, Stephen spent many years managing the environmental, social and human rights aspects of a French company’s nickel mines and refineries in New Caledonia and Indonesia as well as Australian and Canadian gold mines in Burkina Faso, the Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal. Stephen holds university degrees in Mechanical & Aeronautical Engineering and Natural Resources Science and has completed executive education certificates including Business & Sustainability from the IMD (Lausanne) and more recently from the University of Cambridge (UK).

Adelina Toader - Director, Structured Commodities Finance at ING Bank N.V.: Adelina is a seasoned structured and commodities finance banker with over 16 years of international experience in the industry, of which over 12 years at ING. Her academic and professional journey include placements in Bucharest, Madrid, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and is currently stationed in Geneva. She is responsible for setting up the structure finance business in the ING office in Geneva. Not only has she built up the transactional appetite and developed financing solutions, she is also on the path to increase market knowledge on carbon credits coverage globally. At the same time, Adelina is a family entrepreneur with a focus on textiles, the circular economy and recycling.  Personally, Adelina has a keen interest in analytical psychology. Along with her passion for travels comes her relentless curiosity of discovering new, diverse cultures and nature.

Moderator: Ganna Lysenko - Manager in Commodity Trading & Risk Management at EY and VP at CTA Association: Ganna has 15+ years in commodities, energy markets, and financial services, including over a decade in Switzerland. Her expertise spans trading, financing, risk management (including ESG), economics, and analytics. As a key member of Switzerland's risk assessment team, she works with banks and commodity traders. In the sustainability area Ganna assesses ESG practices in major global energy, metal and soft commodities traders and played a pivotal role in establishing biofuels trading processes for a major oil and gas trading company, emphasizing traceability and third-party evaluations. Additionally, as part of CTA Board and Vice President she contributed to the creation of discussion platforms on sustainability and innovation in the commodity trading industry.
