Master of Science in Commodity Trading

The University of Geneva Master of Science in Commodity Trading was created in 2008 with practicing trading professionals through the STSA.

This program is taught in English during an intensive 12-months academic course which is combined with a practical part-time job within a commodity trading and finance related firm. This program combines both the academic rigor of a 90ETCS Master level course with the practical on-the-job experience.

The academic curriculum consists of 2 semesters of courses including components of trading; commodity hedging and price risk; as well as commodity finance and financial risk management.

Special attention is paid to select the most experienced professional Instructors and guest speakers. The aim is to provide our students with the highest academic standards and select professional lecturers known for their in-depth knowledge & expertise in a particular domain. To complete the learning experience, practicing professionals from the industry are invited to share their current experience and expose participants to practical considerations and examples. This is a very powerful mix between theory and practice.
